Clean agent & CO₂ systems protecting server rooms, archives and clean rooms.
A gas suppression system floods a protected room with an extinguishing gas where water would damage equipment. Druthi Power Controls designs, supplies and commissions FM200, Novec 1230, Inergen and CO2 systems for server rooms, UPS rooms, archives and control rooms.
DPCL designs, supplies and commissions total flooding gas suppression systems for spaces where water-based suppression would cause secondary damage. We work with FM200 (HFC-227ea), Novec 1230, Inergen (IG-541) and CO₂ systems, fully compliant with NFPA 2001 and IS:15493.
Most widely used clean agent. Zero ozone depletion, low residue, safe for occupied spaces. Ideal for server rooms, UPS rooms, control rooms.
Clean agent with a low global warming potential. Zero collateral damage, occupant-safe. Supply of this agent depends on current availability, so confirm before specifying.
Inert gas blend (N₂, Ar, CO₂) with zero environmental impact. Preferred for telecom exchanges and archival storage.
Total flooding CO₂ for unoccupied spaces: generator enclosures, cable tunnels, industrial process equipment.
Addressable or conventional detection with pre-discharge alarm, abort switch, solenoid valve control and monitoring.

In a total flooding system, detectors sense a fire and sound an alarm. After a short delay the system releases extinguishing gas into the room until the design concentration is reached. The room must be sealed well enough to hold that concentration, which is why a room integrity check is normally part of commissioning. Because the whole room is filled, the quantity of gas follows the volume of the room.
Clean agents such as FM200 (HFC-227ea) and Novec 1230 put out fires mainly by absorbing heat. Inert gas systems such as Inergen (IG-541) work by lowering the oxygen level. CO2 is effective, but a CO2 discharge is dangerous to people, so it is used in spaces that are not occupied. NFPA 2001 covers clean agent systems, and CO2 systems are covered by a separate standard.
A gas system needs reliable detection, a pre discharge alarm, an abort switch, a manual release and monitoring. The detection and release panel ties these together and controls the release valves.
