Fire-resistant and LSZH cables, specified to IS:694 and BS:7211.
Fire resistant and LSZH cables keep circuits working and limit toxic smoke during a fire. Druthi Power Controls supplies fire resistant, LSZH, armoured and flexible cables, plus conduits, cable trays, lugs and glands. Varsha Cables is the listed cable brand.
DPCL supplies a comprehensive range of cables and wiring accessories, from fire-resistant and LSZH cables for critical installations to standard FR PVC cables for general wiring. We stock major brands and can supply project-specific quantities with full test certificates. Our accessories range covers conduits, trays, lugs, glands and switchgear.
Maintain circuit integrity under fire for fire alarm, emergency lighting and critical control circuits.
Low Smoke Zero Halogen cables for IT buildings, hospitals and metro stations. Minimises toxic smoke in fire conditions.
Steel wire armoured (SWA) cables for underground and direct burial applications, for power and instrumentation.
Control, instrumentation and multicore flexible cables for panel wiring and field devices.
GI / PVC conduits, perforated cable trays, ladder trays and accessories for cable management.
Copper lugs, cable glands (A2F, BW, CW types), ferrules, markers and din-rail components.

A fire resistant cable keeps a circuit working for a rated time while it is in a fire, which matters for fire alarm, emergency lighting and pump circuits. A fire retardant cable limits the spread of flame but is not meant to keep working in a fire.
These labels describe how a cable behaves in a fire. FR points to resistance to flame spread. Low smoke grades add limits on smoke. Low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) cables are made without halogens, so they give off much less corrosive and toxic gas. The labels are used loosely in the market, so check the test standards and the certification, not only the name. Flame, smoke and halogen gas are tested under separate standards.
LSZH cables are preferred in closed or crowded spaces such as data centres, hospitals, metro stations and risers. Armoured cables suit buried and exposed runs. Flexible and multicore cables suit panel wiring and field devices.
This is general information. The governing code, the project design and the local fire authority decide the exact requirements for your site.
