In Karnataka, fire clearance for buildings above a prescribed height is issued by the Karnataka Fire and Emergency Services under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, and the fire and life safety requirements are linked to the National Building Code of India 2016. The height limit and the application process have changed in recent years, so check the current rules with the department or your fire consultant before you plan the system.
